I wanted to get my recliner upholstery repaired.. for which I contacted them.. they asked me to send pictures, send video without even visiting but they said it can be repaired through stitching or patch work but later u did all that and now they say it cannot be repaired.. they wasted my  one whole week in this.. they could have simply said we don’t do such small repairs because it was a petty job for them .. will never use their service again

Work done: Reupholstering of 2 Kowloon Sofa sets orignally purchased from Urban Ladder 8 years ago.

Time taken: 7 days for first delivery, but due to some minor issues, 2 additional days to rectify those.

Cost charged: A bit higher than what we expected for a 'reupholstering'. It came to be about 15% lower than brand new market price, but felt worth it overall since we reinforced the base and customized many things to our liking which is not always possible when buying new.

Why 5 stars:
- Quality of materials used feels to be very good. From what we can feel in 2 days, it is better than what came with the sofa originally from UL.
- The overall fitment of modular pieces is better than what it was out of box when new.
- Transparency in approach, did not make any false promises. Clearly said what can and can't be done. Asked for more time to check where not sure.
- Took ownership when there were a couple of minor errors noticed that were made by a new worker. Proactively arranged for pickup, fixed those and returned back in 2 days. Reconfirmed that we were now happy about the work.
- Helped make the material choices as per our specific needs.
- Maintained a very professional approach. For the time Arun was helping us out, we had his full attention.
- Came home and explained while selling, but also visited post delivery to check for feedback and explain the work done, what to expect and how to maintain.

What could have been better:
- In our specific case, workmanship initially was not exactly what we expected for the price charged. While they rectified the errors as best possible and even worked late night to complete it, it would have been great to get it perfect in the first attempt.
- Could have suggested to see the chosen fabric on a larger unit or arranged to show a larger piece. The color looked slightly lighter than what we imagined by seeing on the brochure. However, they did use the color code that we had chosen, cross verified at delivery with the brochure. Not their mistake, but a suggestion like that could help avoid suprises for customer. Thankfully, in our case, even though the color is lighter than what we originally imagined, it still looks fabulous.

Overall, we are happy with the work done and would recommend their services. Arun and The Sofa Makers team have given a new life to our favorite piece of furniture. Based on experience so far, expecting no issues in future, but if anything comes up, will update the review.
